One thing I've been looking into with the Centauri Carbon is adding a little better filtration. The printer already has an enclosed design, but if you're running this thing inside your house or office all the time, adding a HEPA filter seems like a pretty worthwhile little upgrade.

What's cool is you don't have to come up with the entire setup yourself. People have already designed 3D printable filter housings for the Centauri Carbon that mount around the rear exhaust area. So basically, you buy the filters, print the housing on the printer you already own, and put everything together.

I actually like this setup because it gives you some options. You can use it for additional filtration, but the design can also be set up with an exhaust hose if you eventually decide you want to vent the printer outside.
One thing to keep in mind is that HEPA and activated carbon filters aren't really doing the same job. HEPA filters are mainly there to catch tiny airborne particles, while activated carbon is more useful for gases and odors. So I wouldn't necessarily look at this as replacing one with the other. Having both is a better setup.
For normal PLA and PETG printing, I wouldn't call a HEPA filter an absolute must-have. But it's also a cheap and easy enough upgrade that I can understand why people add one, especially when the printer is running for hours at a time inside the house.
If you're printing a bunch of ABS or ASA, I'd take things a step further and look into actually exhausting the printer outside. There are some pretty cool Centauri Carbon exhaust duct setups people have designed that let you connect flexible ducting and route it to a window.
For a simple upgrade though, I like this one. Grab some replacement HEPA filters from Amazon, print the housing yourself, and you've got an inexpensive way to add another layer of filtration to your Centauri Carbon.
