If you're wondering how to adjust the Centauri Carbon belt tension, it's actually pretty simple. The Elegoo Centauri Carbon uses semi-automatic spring-loaded belt tensioners, so you don't manually crank down on the belts like you would on some older 3D printers.
How to Adjust Centauri Carbon Belt Tension
Elegoo has an official procedure for resetting the tension.
First, power off the printer. At the back of the printer you'll find the screws that secure the X and Y belt tensioners.
Loosen the four tensioner screws slightly, but don't remove them.
Once they're loose, manually move the printhead back and forth along both the X and Y axes. The spring-loaded tensioners will automatically take up the slack and apply tension to the belts.
Then simply tighten the four screws again to lock everything in place.
When Should You Adjust the Belts?
I wouldn't mess with the Centauri Carbon belt tension unless you're actually having a problem.
If you're seeing layer shifting, ringing, ghosting, strange noises, or one belt feels noticeably looser than the other, it's worth checking.
The biggest thing is don't overtighten the belts. More tension isn't necessarily better and can actually create additional problems.
Once you've adjusted everything, I'd run the printer's calibration again before doing another print.
