
If you're looking for a Centauri Carbon chamber heater, there's one important thing to know: the original Elegoo Centauri Carbon is enclosed, but it doesn't have an active chamber heater.
The heat from the bed naturally warms up the enclosure, which is usually enough for materials like ABS and ASA. Owners commonly report chamber temperatures around 35–45°C just from the heated bed.
Can You Add a Chamber Heater?
Yes, and there are actually some pretty cool Centauri Carbon chamber heater mods available.
People have added small PTC heaters and even the Creality chamber heater to the Centauri Carbon using 3D printed mounts. Some of these setups can maintain chamber temperatures around 50–55°C, which can help with larger ABS and ASA prints.
There are also downloadable Centauri Carbon heater mounts available if you want to build your own setup.
Do You Actually Need One?
For most people, probably not.
I've had good results printing ABS and ASA simply by keeping the Centauri Carbon closed and letting the heated bed warm up the chamber before printing.
If you're constantly printing large parts with ABS, ASA, or more demanding engineering materials, then an active Centauri Carbon chamber heater could be a pretty interesting upgrade.
Just keep in mind that this is an aftermarket modification, and I wouldn't go crazy trying to turn the Centauri Carbon into an 80°C industrial heated-chamber printer. There are electronics, belts, plastics, and other components inside that weren't necessarily designed for extremely high chamber temperatures.
For normal ABS and ASA printing, I'd try the stock enclosed chamber first. If you're still fighting warping, then I'd start looking into one of the chamber heater mods.
